Our client was looking to continue their strategic work of deepening leadership, expanding listening and deepen human connections across over 500 colleagues, spread across 7 different communities. Their aim was to build a wonderful experience to able people to connect deeply with their shared purpose.
Set against a backdrop of the incredibly tough Covid years, the company wanted to acknowledge the challenges of the past few years, whilst giving their team a sense of belief, progress and ambition for a shared future. With a focus on wellbeing, we wanted Managers to leave feeling valued, and full of energy and excitement. Whatever we created, it needed to feel like it reflected the lived reality of care, deepening a sense of unity and trust, with some consistency whilst also acknowledging the uniqueness of the different communities they serve.
This was an audience unfamiliar with large events. So, the key to our approach would be bringing a sense of inclusivity, calm and belonging to the experience. Enabling each delegate to feel relaxed, comfortable and confident to participate.
A relaxed, informal meeting space would need to work across all 7 venues, so we focused our attention on sourcing the right venues; venues that would offer the chance to relax and recuperate. While also being mindful of costs, and the pressures Care Home Managers face on a day-to-day basis.
