ESCAPE THE EVERYDAY

We don’t know about you, but we are fed up of talking about testing, and quarantine, masks and isolating.

We are weary of speculating on what the future of events looks like, are virtual events here to stay and is hybrid really a thing? So, just for this week, we are going to spend some time on dreaming.

Dreaming of getting away, dreaming of amazing destinations (that we know we will be able to visit this year). We are dreaming of mountains, and lakes and oceans and fields. Fun, laughter and adventures. So come on, take a ride with us, and discover some of the incentive destinations we are dreaming of, right on our doorstep….

LOVELY LOCH LOMOND

When dreaming big, it doesn’t really get much bigger than this.  Join us at this freshwater loch on the boundary between the highlands and lowlands of Scotland. It’s the largest lake by surface area in Great Britain. In fact, Loch Lomond and Loch Ness, together with Lochs Awe, Morar and Shiel, hold around a third of all the lake water in Scotland.

Not only, is it big, dramatic and amazing fun, but it is also really accessible, only 30 mins from Glasgow. It has everything you need for an out of this world experience; rich history, stunning scenery, exhilarating activities, wildlife and nature. It really is special.

We want to stay at the gorgeous Cameron House, a globally renowned luxury resort, nestled on the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond in Scotland. A true Scottish Highland experience and 17th Century Baronial estate to boot. With its award winning golf course, incredible spa, and of course stunning scenery, days could be spent enjoying everything the hotel has to offer.

However, if you are going to dream big, you are going to want to get out amongst it for the day and enjoy a day in the highlands. Get collected by 4×4’s and be taken on an adventure through the highlands.  Meet the locals and get a fascinating insight into life in this part of Scotland. Tuck into a BBQ on a mountain overlooking the loch with whiskey and entertainment with views for miles. Then hop onto some speed boats James Bond style to see the view from a different angle. A pit stop at a tiny pub on the tiny island of Inchmurrin to complete your highlands adventure.  After all this activity, we would head back to the hotel to relax in their spa…or just have a couple of wee drams.

Finally, what better way to end day two other than a pub meal at The Club House where the days stories can be retold over a few pints or glasses of prosecco!

HANDSOME HAMPSHIRE

When dreaming of your quintessential English break you can’t go past Hampshire as another perfect option. Picture this; rolling fields, hot sunny days and picnics under the trees.  Just need to hope that the British weather is on our side!

It’s also one of the best places for a luxury break, with 5 star accommodation, great things to do and fine dining.  Sounds like the dream to us. So, whether you want to unwind or get active, Hampshire has it all. It’s the perfect blend of city, coast and country.

We would stay at the Four Seasons Hampshire;  a beautiful 18th century country house located in 500 acres of parklands, With exceptional dining, landscaped grounds and a gorgeous pool area, you really will feel spoiled and a million miles away from the daily grind.

If all of that pampering gets tiresome then why not venture outside for a day trip on the Solent or a visit to Highclere Castle.

For the real wow factor, a hot air balloon ride is a must. It’s an early start but completely worth it as you float through the county, whilst watching the sun rise. The magical thing about the hot air balloon is that the landing field will only be known on the day, and only in fact, as the descent begins. Once you land after your ‘once in a lifetime’ experience you can celebrate on the ground with a glass of champagne. There isn’t a better way to start your day as far as we can tell.

Or how about gourmet picnics on the grounds by the fish pond, lunches and dinners at the local village pub and more activities such as horse riding, spa sessions, canal boat rides?  Enjoy a magical dinner under the stars in the hotel garden. This blissful, summer retreat will engage your senses and relax your weary lockdown mind. Take us there now!

CHILL IN CARBIS BAY

For those of us missing the feeling of sand between our toes why not head down to chill in Carbis Bay. Nothing engages the senses like sun, sea and getting smashed in the head by a huge wave. One of Cornwall’s seven award-winning, Blue Flag 2019 beaches, Carbis Bay is a white sandy beach almost a mile wide and surrounded by subtropical splendour.

Facing northeast and just one mile east of St Ives, the beach rarely has any surf so makes for an ideal spot for swimming. Just around the bay there is an amazing surf beach too. THE place to stay is Carbis Bay Estate; a luxurious coastal retreat, with a privately owned 25-acre Blue Flag beach, impeccable service, fine food, superb spa facilities and breath-taking views across one of the world’s most beautiful bays.

When you arrive at this stunning resort you can kick back and relax, enjoying the impeccable service and stunning scenery. For those missing the opening (and closing!) parties of Ibiza, why not create your very own Beach Club of Carbis Bay? Cornish style. Tunes playing, cocktails, entertainers, good food and plenty of fun! Dress code is beach glam, naturally. For something more active, head to surf beach Portminster and learn to surf. Set up a private area with some deck chairs. The BEST Cornish pasties can be delivered direct to your deckchair for that ultimate Cornish experience.

Finally…
Wherever you dream of, then make Lemon Lane part of it. We would love to craft the perfect experience for you and your team. Help us turn our daydreams into your perfect incentive, to make you and your people happy.
